The Sun-Earth Connection

The Sun is our Nearest star.  As our nearest star it deserves a lot of attention
from astronomers.  It has gotten some of this attention because it can teach us many
different things about its more distant relatives in deep space.  The other
thing this nearest stellar neighbor does for us is impact our lives in ways scientists are just
starting to understand.

This web site will take you through some of the things we know, and some of the
things we are starting to understand.  Many of these things can be seen in our
everyday lives.  Things from changes in temperature to changes in tree growth.
